Animals are a major group of mostly multicellular, eukaryotic organisms of the kingdom Animalia or Metazoa. Their body plan eventually becomes fixed as they develop, although some undergo a process of metamorphosis later on in their life. Most animals are motile, meaning they can move spontaneously and independently. All animals are also heterotrophs, meaning they must ingest other organisms for sustenance.

Most known animal phyla appeared in the fossil record as marine species during the Cambrian explosion, about 542 million years ago.

True environmentalism teaches us to co-exist on the physical plane along with other living creatures, plant and animals without pollution or destruction of our life-support system. Learn from natural law. Our forests, our rivers, our oceans are part of us. Love yourself and the planet for the sake of all future generations. Apply the golden rule to nature and all our relations.

Redesign all our energy production, manufacturing systems and consumption patterns to live in balance so others may simply live. Consume far less than you produce and recycle everything. Leave no carbon footprint and tread lightly on the earth.
