Sedgwick, Maine is first town to declare total food sovereignty, opposing state and federal laws | NaturalNews
Monday, March 25, 2013

There is a food revolution taking hold all over America, whether it is in the form of demanding labeling of GM foods, the right to produce and sell raw milk and other commodities, or - in the case of Sedgwick, Maine - declaring all local food transactions of any kind free and legal.

According to the website FoodRenegade.com, Sedgwick is the first city in the U.S. to free itself from the constraints of federal and state food regulation. Published reports say the town has passed an ordinance that gives its citizens the right "to produce, sell, purchase, and consume local foods of their choosing," regulations be damned. The ordinance includes raw milk, meats that are slaughtered locally, all produce and just about anything else you might imagine.

And what's more, three additional towns in Maine are expected to take up similar ordinances soon, said the FoodRenegade.com.

The Whole Story Behind Whole Foods' Big Announcement That's Shaking up the Food World | Alternet
Friday, March 15, 2013
Whole Foods Market (WFM) is being praised in the media for announcing that it will become the first U.S. grocery chain to require that genetically engineered (GE) foods in its stores be labeled, by 2018. This is a victory for consumers and the GE labeling movement. And it’s a major setback for Monsanto, who for 20 years has worked hand-in-hand with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration to uphold the myth that GE foods and crops are “substantially equivalent” to non-GE foods, that they are perfectly safe, and shouldn’t require labels. ... read more

President Obama’s acceptance speech (Full transcript) | The Washington Post
Wednesday, November 7, 2012
OBAMA:Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much.

Tonight, more than 200 years after a former colony won the right to determine its own destiny, the task of perfecting our union moves forward.

OBAMA: It moves forward because of you. It moves forward because you reaffirmed the spirit that has triumphed over war and depression, the spirit that has lifted this country from the depths of despair to the great heights of hope, the belief that while each of us will pursue our own individual dreams, we are an American family and we rise or fall together as one nation and as one people.

Tonight, in this election, you, the American people, reminded us that while our road has been hard, while our journey has been long, we have picked ourselves up, we have fought our way back, and we know in our hearts that for the United States of America the best is yet to come.

DNA Can Be Influenced And Reprogrammed By Words And Frequencies Russian DNA Discoveries | Waking Times
Monday, October 29, 2012

The human DNA is a biological Internet and superior in many aspects to the artificial one. The latest Russian scientific research directly or indirectly explains phenomena such as clairvoyance, intuition, spontaneous and remote acts of healing, self healing, affirmation techniques, unusual light/auras around people (namely spiritual masters), the mind’s influence on weather patterns and much more.

In addition, there is evidence for a whole new type of medicine in which DNA can be influenced and reprogrammed by words and frequencies WITHOUT cutting out and replacing single genes.

Climate change in the Rogue Valley | Ashland Daily Tidings
Saturday, October 27, 2012

When I was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer, the prognosis without treatment was two months to live. The proposed treatment of four rounds of chemotherapy, total body irradiation and a bone marrow transplant raised this to a 50 percent chance of survival at two years. While this might not seem very positive, compared to the two-month prognosis it glowed. There was no guarantee treatment would cure the condition, but failing even to try guaranteed an unpleasant outcome.

The same is true for climate change. It may be too late, but if we don't even try to address the problem it assuredly is too late. When our grandchildren ask us what we did about climate change, responding, "I threw in the towel — there was no use trying" won't be adequate.

Solar power generation world record set in Germany | The Guardian on Facebook
Thursday, June 28, 2012
German solar power plants produced a world record 22 gigawatts of electricity – equal to 20 nuclear power stations at full capacity – through the midday hours of Friday and Saturday, the head of a renewable energy think tank has said.

Germany's government decided to abandon nuclear power after the Fukushima nuclear disaster last year, closing eight plants immediately and shutting down the remaining nine by 2022. They will be replaced by renewable energy sources such as wind, solar and bio-mass.
